Let's Be Safe
Riverlake is proud to provide 24 hours per day, seven days per week vehicle patrol services.  Visibility is a powerful crime deterrent.  Our patrol officers enhance the Riverlake Community safety and reduce the risk of vandalism and theft and provide reassurance after-hours for our homeowners. Universal Protection Service's private security patrol officers are trained to notice anything out of the ordinary and to prevent problems before they start.  If you have any security concerns, we urge you to call our patrol officer on duty at (916) 584-6224.

Help keep your family and home secure with these simple guidelines.

Vacation Tips
Make sure all doors and windows are secured, and if you have an alarm system, use it.  Most burglars look for easy targets like a window that isn’t locked or going through the easy to break side garage door.  Don't advertise your trip on social media.  Many criminals are tech savvy and will watch
Facebook or Twitter to see when people will be away from home.  Arrange for a house-sitter.  Having someone check on or stay at the house will deter most criminals.

Gifts & Packages
Ensure that deliveries are not left on your porch.  The FedEx package that was delivered while you were at work, may not be there when you get home.  Your safest bet is to ensure someone is home when the package arrives or have it held for pickup at a nearby shipping center.  Properly dispose of packaging for large and/or expensive items.  Putting the box for your new 65 inch 3D TV out next to your trash can makes it easy for criminals to pick their next target.  Break down large boxes and ensure that the casual passerby doesn't know what you have in your home.
